Do you charge more at night or on weekends?

No. The diagnostic fee is a flat $199 whatever the hour, including weekends and public holidays. Repair work is quoted before it starts, so there is no bill that arrives larger because of the time on the clock.

What should I do before you arrive?

If you can identify the affected circuit, switch it off at the switchboard. If there is a burning smell and you cannot identify it, turn off the main switch. Do not touch anything visibly damaged, and keep water away from the area.

Is a power outage always an electrical fault?

Not always — it may be a network outage affecting the whole street. Check whether your neighbours have power and look up the Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy outage page. If it is only your property, it is a fault on your side of the meter and it is ours to fix.
